A very rare and important 'Xiang Shi' dining table designed and produced by Philip (1907-1987) and Kelvin LaVerne (1937-2025). This monumental table is one of the finest examples ever available on the worldwide secondary decorative arts marketplace. The piece features the duo's signature highly detailed, patinated and engraved bronze and pewter over wood with hand-painted enamels; engraved facsimile signature 'Philip + Kelvin LaVerne' present on the table top.

This example incorporates the leg structure that has parallels with a custom table commissioned by Fred and Edith Horowitz in conjunction with a Xiang-Shi top.
