Louis XV Style,  Bureau Plat or Executive Desk, Marquetry, Leather, Bronze, France,  late 19th or early 20th Century

An elegant French-style bureau plat featuring intricate floral marquetry, a shaped serpentine front, and ornate gilt bronze mounts. The desk has three drawers, slender cabriole legs with decorative sabots, and a leather inset top. This example presents in overall fair condition with restoration recommended; the leather top presents with several marks and spots of discoloration, one leg presents with a previous repair, and the back of the desk appears to have been stripped of it's original wood stain.
