John Dickinson Style, Occasional Table, Carved Paw Foot Base, Pink and White Painted Pine, Wood, USA, 1980s

An occasional table in the manner of John Dickinson and likely produced in the United States in the later part of the 20th century. This example features a rectangular pine top painted in a vibrant pinkish/red textured finish, supported by a sculptural cream white-painted base with four outward-curving legs terminating in boldly carved animal paw feet. The whimsical design combines classical influences with the playful, organic forms associated with John Dickinson's distinctive furniture designs. Original paint finish presents with some chips throughout.
