One of a kind set of stunning dining chairs. Each having curvaceous form crest rails finely carved with flowers above a molded chair back that surround the fine upholstered backs that offer great comfort to the sitter. The upholstered seats above molded shaped aprons also having carved floral design on raised cabriole legs.
The entire set upholstered in a "Verel de Belval" upholstery with cottage check contrast backs. All in a "Saint Fiacre" brocade by David Anthony in Greenwich CT for a total upholster cost of $23,640. Eight chairs stamped CRESSON, purchased in Christies France in 2000 for a cost of $30,000. The set shipped to the US, Fully painted, supported and upholstered. Auction sale on line.
